Savannah Law School is dedicated to providing quality legal education to non-traditional students, working adults, and others whose best chance of attending law school is a part-time program. With this commitment, SLS offers both part-time evening and part-time day options. Students are only admitted to start in the fall semester.
The part-time program is designed to allow students to complete the J.D. degree requirements in eight academic semesters over four academic years, plus some summer sessions. That makes it a tough four years, rather than three, but the character and motivation of our part-time law students is inspiring. Whether they have a full-time job, are full-time parents, or both, our part-time students have an undeniable tenacity to constantly exceed expectations and lead their class.
Classes in the part-time evening program meet from 6:00 p.m. until 9:15 p.m. on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Students in the part-time day program are integrated into classes with full-time students; however, they take a lighter course load.
During the first-year, fall and spring semesters, students in the part-time program complete their first year required courses of Contracts, Torts, and Legal Research, Writing and Analysis. A full list of course descriptions and graduation requirements can be found HERE.
If you are driven to push your career further and invest in your success but are worried about the work load and time commitment of law school with your already busy schedule, the part-time program may be the option for you. Here at Savannah Law School we believe that your success is our success.
