Earlier this month Savannah Law School Professor, Caprice Roberts, served as the keynote speaker at The University of Sydney’s symposium, Updating the Classics: Law Treatises in the Modern Age. While abroad, Professor Roberts also participated in a discussion on BenchTV, a legal education network within Australia. The discussion was titled The Development of the Remedy of Disgorgement in the USA.
Professor Roberts was chosen as the keynote speaker at the Symposium, in part, because she recently completed writing and editing Dobbs & Roberts on Remedies, a third edition of the leading remedies law treatise. In her address, Professor Roberts discussed the challenges of updating a treatise written by such a well-known author. Additionally, she identified some of the major developments in the law of remedies in the U.S. over the past 25 years.*
Professor Roberts’ discussion on BenchTV can be found here. We encourage all members of the SLS community to watch as it is a very interesting discussion between Professor Roberts and a local Australian solicitor.
Professor Roberts is a valued and beloved member of the Savannah Law School Community. At SLS, she teaches Contracts, Remedies, Jurisprudence, and Federal Courts. She also serves as the Faculty Advisor for the Savannah Law Review.
Congratulations on this significant accomplishment, Professor Roberts. We hope you enjoyed your trip down under!
